Veronica Witek, nee Kudla, peacefully passed away on February 28, 2024 in Buffalo Grove at the age of 101, surrounded by her family.
Fondly known as Verne, she married Stanley J. Witek on July 11, 1943. They raised their family on Ridgeway Avenue in Chicago, settling in Mount Prospect and later spending 46 years in Buffalo Grove.
Veronica was the beloved mother of Lawrence Witek, Pamela Jaroscak (Michael), the late Valerie Broda (Gerald), William Witek, and James Witek. She found immense joy in providing love and guidance to her 16 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren: Jerry Broda, Lynn Burke, Jennifer (Dan), Nicole (Evan), Laura, Kristen, Julie (Rob), Amy (Jimmy), Christopher (Dan), Michael, Katie (B.R.), Kerie (Vince), Shawna, Natalie (Ashish), Curtis (Romina), and Nick (Meagan). She was also the cherished sister of the late Sr. Mary Gilbert and Mitchell Kudla, and an aunt and friend to many.
Veronica's life epitomized the enduring values of faith, love, and family. As a devoted matriarch, she leaves behind a legacy woven with unconditional love and unwavering faith. Her wisdom and loving presence will forever resonate in the hearts of those fortunate enough to have known her.

Memorial Visitation Tuesday March 19, 2024 at 10:00 am at St. Mary Catholic Church, 10 N. Buffalo Grove Road, Buffalo Grove, IL. Followed by a Life Celebration Mass at 11:00 am. Inurnment Private. In lieu of flowers donations to St. Mary Church or Cubs Charity for Cancer Research (Ryne Sandberg) would be greatly appreciated.
