Timothy Allen Fritz, age 67, of Buffalo Grove, passed away Sunday, July 12, 2026. He was born on March 3, 1959, in Evanston to Ronald and Patricia (nee Polinski) Fritz.

Tim graduated from Columbia College in Chicago with his Bachelor’s degree in film production. He worked for Identatronics in ID card sales and later started his own company, AmeriCard Technologies continuing in ID card sales. He successfully ran AmeriCard Technologies for over 25 years!

He loved photography, vintage car shows, Western movies, shopping at Woodman’s, traveling to Arizona, enjoying the peace and beauty in the North Woods of Wisconsin, fishing, Starbucks coffee, listening to Moody Radio, polishing off a whole plate of Walker Brothers 49’ers, reading and spending time with his family, friends, kids and grandkids. He was an incredible handyman and knew how to fix anything. He never turned down an opportunity to serve others.

He was a firm believer in Jesus Christ and we rejoice in the assurance that Tim is now in the presence of his Savior!

Tim was the loving father to his 3 children, Stephanie (Ben) Copeland, Lexi (Mike) Stricker, and Joshua (Amanda) Fritz; cherished Papa to his 5 grandchildren Selah, Michael, Noah, Luke, and Henry and his 2 grand-dogs Jackson and Rizzo. He is survived by his mother, Patricia Fritz; sisters Cherie (Pete) Silverstein and Patty (Dan) Kelly; nieces Val, Meghan and Jamie; nephews Jimmy and Alex.

Timothy was preceded in death by his father, Ronald Fritz.
