Tiburcio R. Ruiz, age 79, of Long Grove, passed away peacefully on March 30, 2026, surrounded by his loved ones.
Born in Jalisco, Mexico, Tiburcio came to the United States at the age of 14 with determination and a strong work ethic that would define his life. He was a hardworking man, deeply proud of his Mexican heritage, and an entrepreneur at heart. He built a landscaping business that he truly cherished, taking pride in every detail and every relationship he formed along the way.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Domitila (Serrano) Ruiz, with whom he built a life centered on love, family, and unwavering devotion. He was a loving and proud father to Teresa (Julio) Bolaños, Maria Guadalupe (Juan) Diaz, Fortunato (Anna) Ruiz, Sly (Sara) Ruiz, Mimi Ruiz, and Naomi (Rudy Zepeda) Ruiz.
Tiburcio was a cherished grandfather and felt incredibly blessed by his eleven grandchildren: Juan Manuel, Katya, Mya, Karyme, Isabela, Diego, Mateo, Cheyla, Emilio, Luka, and Raizo, each of whom brought him immense pride and joy.
He is also survived by his dear siblings Candelario, Eladio, Arcelia, Alicia, Saul, Ana, Fortunato, and Maria, and was preceded in death by his sisters Rita and Micaela.
