Steven Joseph Budziak, age 60, of Vernon Hills, passed away unexpectedly, leaving behind a legacy of love, dedication, and quiet kindness. Steve was the beloved husband of Sherry Budziak (née Whitaker), with whom he shared 25 years of marriage. He was a loving and devoted father to his daughters, Ashley, and Sara, who were the pride and joy of his life. He was the cherished son of Paul Budziak and the late Gloria Budziak, a dear brother to Christine Budziak, and a loving uncle, cousin, and friend to many. Steve attended St. Patrick High School in Chicago, where he proudly lettered in golf. He went on to graduate from the Illinois Institute of Technology, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering. He built a successful career as a technical sales and computer engineer, a role he truly enjoyed, taking pride in helping customers solve complex problems and find effective solutions. An avid sports enthusiast, Steve loved playing softball and golf with friends and could often be found coaching or cheering on his daughters at their sporting events. At home, he enjoyed tinkering with technical and A/V projects. Two places held a particularly special place in Steve's heart, Disney and the Wisconsin Dells. These destinations were the backdrop for many treasured family vacations and countless happy memories. Steve will be deeply missed and forever remembered for his intelligence, humor, and love for his family. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him.
