Obituary

Philip "Phil" Spinuzza passed away on April 21, 2025, at the age of 87. Phil was a beloved figure in the antique community, known for his warmth, wit, and deep appreciation for history. In 1963, he opened the Wheeling Sale Barn Square, helping transform part of the historic Redlinger Farm into a destination for antique lovers throughout the region. A lifelong collector, Phil loved to fix and tinker with old antiques, giving them new life and purpose. His passion for restoration reflected his deep respect for craftsmanship and the stories objects carried with them. Before dedicating himself fully to the antique world, Phil worked for American Airlines and built lasting friendships through his work and interests. Beloved business partner of the late William Boyd. Fond uncle of the Betty Fox, Elizabeth Grabowski, Joanne Carpenter, Marie Babler, Ralph Donovan, Kenny Donovan, and Robert Miller. He also is survived by his nieces and nephews, along with many dear friends he made throughout his life and in the antique world. Visitation Wednesday 10 am at Kolssak Funeral Home, 189 S.
