Peter James Zack, age 74 of Long Grove, passed away peacefully on March 24, 2021. Beloved husband of Karen Zack nee Kalinoski for 55 years. Loving father of Tony (Kimberly) Zack and Jamie (AJ) Pecora. Adored grandfather of Peter, Madison, Christopher and Allison. Cherished baby brother of Roberta (late Ronald) Schmidt, Paul (Beverly) Zack and Terri (George) Brugioni. Adored uncle of Michael, Christopher, Jeff, Greg, Jill, Yvette, Tim, and the late Theisa. Peter is preceded in death by his parents Alex and Adeline Zack, his niece Theisa Sorby, and his brother in law Ronald Schmidt. Peter was an electrician/electrical contractor at OKEH Electric Company for 54 years. He was a member of Local 134 I.B.E.W. and National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA) for 54 years. Peter's greatest joy was his grandchildren. He loved swinging them in their swings for endless hours, trick or treating with them every year; dressed up as Tiger, swimming with them until he was completely pruned, and building Lego towers until they fell over. He enjoyed sharing all of their accomplishments, and things they were doing with anyone that would listen. Peter also loved spending his weekends at his second home located in Galena, IL. Memorial visitation Friday, May 7th from 3 pm to 7 pm at Kolssak Funeral Home, 189 S Milwaukee Ave (2 Blocks South of Dundee Rd), Wheeling. A life celebration will be held at 7 pm. Inurnment private.
