Olga Kalis, nearly 92, of Libertyville, passed away Monday, December 15, 2025. She was born in Iran to the late Aristotelis and Anna nee Surenian Kalis.
A devoted sister, a cherished aunt, and a beloved great aunt, she shared a lifelong bond with her siblings, Valentina "Val" Kalis, Alexander "Alex" (Marianne) Kalis, George (Sharon) Kalis, the late Helen Greven and the late Marica "Mary" Englund. Because of their mother's love, their connection was rooted in unconditional love with countless shared memories that will be forever treasured. As an aunt and great aunt, Olga held a truly special place in the heart of her nieces and nephews as she had a remarkable ability to make each one feel seen, supported, and deeply loved.
Olga was a successful entrepreneur and cytology business owner, she gave generously of her time and resources, actively supporting numerous charitable causes within her community. Her devotion to her church and faith guided and supported her throughout her life. She was widely admired for her generosity, devotion, and selfless acts of kindness. Her legacy will live on in the many lives she touched and the bonds she helped nurture across generations. She will be profoundly missed and lovingly remembered always.
Family and friends will meet for visitation Friday, December 19, 2025, 10:30 a.m. until the time of funeral service at 11:30 a.m. at Ascension of Our Lord Greek Orthodox Church, 1207 Riverwoods Road, Lincolnshire, IL 60069. Interment to follow at Elmwood Cemetery and Mausoleum 2905 North Thatcher Road, River Grove, IL 60171.
