It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Nora SG Dumagpi, age 63, of Wheeling, IL. Nora passed away on Friday, June 6, 2025, at Northwestern Lake Forest Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.
Nora was born on April 10, 1962, in Quezon City, Philippines, to Carlos and Julieta (Marinas) San Gabriel. She met the love of her life, Conrado Dumagpi, and they were married on June 12, 1985.
Affectionately known as Nory, she was a devoted "Pangga," a loving "Nanay," and a doting "Lola."She was known for her kind heart, infectious laughter, and passion for helping others. Nory was truly a shining light in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her journey on this earth was marked by immense love, deep compassion, and unwavering faith in God.
Nory's passing has left a profound void in the hearts of her family, friends, and the many others she touched. We ask that you remember her not for the way her life ended, but for the profound impact she had on those who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Though Nory's physical presence may no longer grace our lives, her spirit will continue to inspire and uplift us. May her memory be a blessing, and may we carry forth her beautiful legacy of love and compassion in all that we do. Mama, as you continue to worship Jesus, your light will forever shine brightly in our hearts.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her devoted husband of 40 years, Conrado Dumagpi; her loving daughter, Ivy (Suave) Gorycki; and her cherished grandson, Levi Ralph Gorycki. She was a fond sister to Mercy Salvador, Elvira San Gabriel, Elsa Concepcion, and Jaime San Gabriel. She held a special place in the hearts of many as a beloved aunt, cousin, niece, and sister in Christ.
In addition to her parents, Nory was proceeded in death by her son, Ralph Vincent Dumagpi, brother Rolly San Gabriel, and nephew Jing Salvador.
Visitation will be Thursday, June 12, 2025, and Friday, June 13th from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Kolssak Funeral Home, 189 S. Milwaukee Avenue (2 Blocks South of Dundee Road) Wheeling, IL 60090. Saturday, June 14th visitation is from 9:00 am until the time of funeral service at 10:00 am at Kolssak Funeral Home. Interment in Sunset Memorial Lawns, Northbrook, IL.
