It is with heavy hearts we share the tragic passing of Michael S. Szpisjak, beloved father, son, and uncle. Dedicated father of Joseph Szpisjak, for whom his love emanated in everything. Cherished son of Stephen and Joyce Szpisjak. Dear brother of Dale (Cheryl) Szpisjak, Steven Szpisjak, Dawn-Denise Szpisjak, and John Szpisjak. Adored uncle of Yasmin Mitchel, Laila Mitchel, Scott Szpisjak, David Szpisjak, and Ian Szpisjak. Loving nephew, cousin, and friend to many. Michael was known for his big personality and charm, full of wit and one-liners. He is deeply mourned by countless friends and colleagues across theatre, education, technology. Visitation Friday, November 15th from 3 pm to 8 pm at Kolssak Funeral Home, 189 S Milwaukee Ave (2 Blocks South of Dundee Road), Wheeling. A life celebration mass will be held the following day at 10 am at St. Norbert Church, 1809 Walters Ave., Northbrook. Interment to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, River Grove.
