Marynell "Nell" Mayfield nee Heffernan age 78 of Lincolnshire and formerly of Buffalo Grove, IL.  Beloved wife of Frank Mayfield for almost 60 years.  Loving mom of Matt (Tomoko Ichikawa) Mayfield, Jean (Kevin) Gill, and the late Alex (Julie) Mayfield.  Dear Grannie Nell of Georgia, Mika, Alexander, Maddie, Anneliese, and the late Charlie. Fond sister of Murray (late Planaria) Heffernan, Martha (Tom) Daly, Joan Heffernan, and the late Chuck (Virginia) Heffernan, Sheila (late John) Axon, Tom Heffernan, and Patrick Heffernan. Memorial Visitation Friday, August 21, 2026 from 3-8 pm at Kolssak Funeral Home, 189 S. Milwaukee Ave. (2 Blocks South of Dundee Road) Wheeling.  

Life Celebration Mass Saturday August 22nd at 10:30 am at St. Mary Catholic Church, 10 N. Buffalo Grove Road, Buffalo Grove, IL.

Inurnment will follow at St. Mary Cemetery.
