Mary Ellen Merkell, age 86 of Prospect Heights, passed away March 13th. Beloved wife of the late Lennert Merkell for 49 years. Loving mother of Kevin (Lyn), Cliff (Martha), Heidi (Mike) Bayer. Cherished grandmother of Kayla, Larsen, Erik, Rachel, Leah, Roberto, and Arianna Merkell, Nicole Gonzales, Lonnie Carrizales, Jenna (Matthew) Goldenberg, and Heather Bayer. Loving great grandmother of 12. Adored sister of Rush Larsen, and the late Dorothy Heilskov, Robert Larsen, Lillian Tomasek, and Larry Larsen. Loving aunt and cousin to many.
