Obituary of Mary Ann Lawson Mary Ann was born on August 19, 1935 and raised in St. Louis, Mo.  After teaching at her high school alma mater, she moved to Chicago in the 1960's for her career with the Federal Government and quickly claimed it as her home.  For the past few years health issues limited her many activities and eventually led to her passing on September 16, 2019 shortly after celebrating her 84th birthday.  She was preceded in-death by her parents, Del and Ed, and is survived by her two sisters, Jane Lawson and Ellen Lawson-Gilgovan and her husband, Mike,  as well as her cherished nephew and niece, Raman Lawson and Sita Melville, her husband, Brian, and their two children, Addison and Arlo.     Mary Ann was intellectually curious, taking classes for adult learners well into her 80's.  She was a patron of the arts, enjoyed theater, concerts at Grant Park, fine food and dining, and was a lifelong Cardinal's fan.    She was a good friend to many and will be missed by all.
