Obituary

Margie June Jamison (née King) passed away peacefully at Condell Hospital on March 29, 2024, at the age of 96 in Lincolnshire, Illinois. Margie was born on June 1, 1927, in East Moline, Illinois where she attended school and graduated from East Moline Senior High School. Margie married her high school sweetheart Charles "Chuck" Jamison after training to be a nurse at Northwestern University and Wesley Memorial Hospital. Chuck and Margie moved to Alaska and Washington DC during Chucks military service. As a nurse Margie took great pride in serving as a nurse at Rush Memorial, Wesley Memorial and Walter Reed Hospital. She also provided care in Moline IL as a private duty nurse. Margie's caring nature extended beyond her profession, as she was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. In her free time, Margie enjoyed playing golf and spending time with her family and friends. She was known for her love of her family and the joy it brought her. Margie is survived by her son Scott (Jean)Jamison, daughter Cherie (Scott)Peota, grandchildren Patrick Jamison, Katie Jamison, Molly Jamison (Julian) Tippins, Matt (Ricki)Peota, Michael (Melissa)Peota, Tim (Ashley) Peota, as well as great-grandchildren Charlee Peota, Jackson Peota, Connor Peota, Olivia Peota, Teddy Peota, Russell Tippins, and Calvin Tippins. She is preceded in death by her husband Charles Jamison, father James King, mother Leah King, and sisters Patricia Reschke and Betty Harbaugh A service will not be held as per Margie's wishes. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the American Red Cross in her memory. Margie will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her. May she rest in peace.
