Lucille M. Weidner, née Roskopf, age 93, of Spring Grove and formerly of Buffalo Grove, Prospect Heights, and Mountain Home, Arkansas, passed away on Friday, September 25, 2026, at Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital. Born on August 7, 1933, in Chicago to Rose and William Roskopf, Lucy later married the love of her life, George Weidner, whom she met while roller skating.

Lucy graduated from Morton High School in 1951. She and George were members of the FMCA camping club, and both were amateur radio operators. Throughout her life, Lucy enjoyed many interests, including fishing, sewing, and bowling.

Lucy was the beloved wife of the late George Weidner; loving mother of Debbie (Jeff) Itter, Cathy (Rick) Anstadt, and Sandy (Jeff) Fiedler; cherished grandmother of Tabitha, Baron (Samantha), and Gunnar Fiedler; dear sister of the late Louise (Leonard) Kuzin; fond sister-in-law of the late Jack and Jean Donovan; and beloved aunt to many nieces and nephews. She was also a loving partner of the late Leo Fitterer for 20 years.

Visitation will be held from 10:30 a.m. until the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, October 2, 2026, at Kolssak Funeral Home, 189 S. Milwaukee Avenue (two blocks south of Dundee Road), Wheeling, IL 60090. Interment will follow at St. Mary Cemetery in Buffalo Grove.
