James "Jim" Nelson, age 88 of Buffalo Grove. Beloved husband of Sandra Nelson nee Nielsen for 58 years. Loving father of Kristen (Dan) Shafron. Adored grandfather of Emily Shafron. Dear brother of Vickie (Dan) Olsen, Steve (Roberta) Nelson, and the late Edith Ann Jackson. Loving uncle, cousin, and friend to many. 

Memorial Visitation Friday, June 26th from 3 pm to 5 pm at Kolssak Funeral Home, 189 S. Milwaukee Ave (2 Blocks South of Dundee Road), Wheeling. A life celebration will be held at 5 pm. Inurnment private at Graceland Cemetery, Albert Lea, MN. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Disabled American Veterans organization are greatly appreciated.
