Hedwig "Hedy" Beer, age 85, of Prospect Heights, passed away Saturday, April 18, 2026. She was born in Poland on December 26, 1940, to Ludwig and Adele nee Rapp Kupske. Devoted wife of the late Josef Beer. Loving mother of the late Herbert Beer, Erich Beer, and Peter Beer. Caring grandmother of Amanda and Karina Beer. Fond sister of Arnold Kupske, the late Hildegard Vogelsang, the late Helen Wambach, and Lillie Richardson. Kind aunt, cousin, and friend to many. In lieu of flowers, Hedy's family suggests memorial in her name to Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, 304 W Palatine Rd, Prospect Heights, IL 60070. Visitation will be Friday, April 24, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. until the 8:00 p.m. at Kolssak Funeral Home, 189 S. Milwaukee Ave. (2 Blocks South of Dundee Road) Wheeling, IL 60090. Visitation will resume Saturday 25th at 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. service at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, 304 W Palatine Rd, Prospect Heights, IL 60070.
