Gerald "Jerry" Woltman, age 85, passed peacefully on August 14, 2024.  He was born in Chicago on April 20, 1939 to Gerald and Francis Woltman and attended Austin High School.  He entered the trades and became a skilled carpenter. He was proud of the homes he built and the many remodeling jobs he completed. He was the beloved husband of Gayle Woltman (nee Schultz) for 61 years and a loving father to Jeff (Mary "Peggy") Woltman and Jodene (Christopher) Brown.  He was a cherished grandfather to Jeffrey, Cole, Courtney, and Kelsey.  Jerry always considered his family to be one of his major accomplishments and greatest blessing.  He was more proud of the accomplishments of his children and grandchildren than anything else in his life.  He was a dear brother of Debi (Vince) Scarpelli and the late Judith Fico and James Woltman. He was an uncle, cousin, and friend to many. Jerry's happiest moments were spent with family.  He enjoyed animals, boating, snowmobiling, cars, and a good meal. A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, August 24th from 12 pm to 4 pm at Kolssak Funeral Home, 189 S Milwaukee Ave (2 Blocks South of Dundee Road), Wheeling.
