Garyfallia "Liana" Gountanis, nee Raptopoulos, age 70, of South Barrington. Loving wife of Jim for 51 years. Beloved mom of Helen (Dino) Peplos, Patty (Tom) Konstantelos, and Tina (George) Kotsionis. Cherished yiayia Jimmy, Billy, Ephrosine, Yianni, Maria, Christos, Philip, and Sofia. Dear sister of Bobby Raptopoulos. Darling daughter of the late Konstantinos and Panagiota Raptopolous. Beloved daughter-in-law of the late Petros and Eleni Gountanis. Fond aunt, cousin, and friend of many. She was an active member of St Nectarios Greek Orthodox Church. Liana was a stage 3 cancer survivor. Liana had a special way of connecting with people through prayer and her strong faith. She always shared that "with God everything is possible." She was also a very talented artist and successful business manager for Clarins and Nordstrom for many years.
