Obituary

Gary A. Tuch "GD", age 69, of Wheeling passed away Saturday, March 15, 2025. Loving father of Breeann (Kevin Keast) Tuch. Doting dog dad to Sadie. Devoted best friend to Shirley Kube. Fond brother of Karen (Fred) Wagner. Uncle to Aaron. He was a loyal and stubborn man who could always be counted on for his loud voice and infectious energy. Known for his one-of-a-kind personality, Gary was as loyal as a Saint Bernard, a true pain in the ass, and a man who was always up for a good time. A lifelong Cubs fan, Gary's passion for the team was only rivaled by his love for his daughter. Since 1972, Gary brought his unmistakable voice to Wrigley Field, working as a popular vendor who would scream "beer, hot dogs!" as fans filled the stands. His presence at the ballpark was a staple, and many fans came to know his energy and spirit. Gary's younger years were marked by a striking orange afro that became part of his signature look. Whether you were working alongside him or crossing paths at the stadium, Gary was a man who left a lasting impression, always true to himself and those around him. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. A celebration of Gary's life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you to take a shot of Tullamore Dew Whiskey to celebrate Gary's life—preferably with a Cubs game on in the background.
