Eugenia Vavilis nee Protofanousis age 94 of Niles, Illinois, passed away on May 21, 2025. Beloved wife of the late Adamantios Vavilis. Loving mother of John (Penny) Vavilis and Haralambos "Bob" Vavilis. Adored Yiayia of Eve (Zach), Amanda, and Emmanuela. Cherised sister of Stavros (Theodora) Protofanousis, Markela (late George) Vorrias, and the late Angeliki (late George) Giakoumis. Loving aunt, cousin, and friend to many. Family and friends will meet Saturday, May 24th at 11 am for a visitation at St. Lazaros Greek Orthodox Chapel (located in Ridgewood Cemetery) 9900 N Milwaukee Ave., Des Plaines, IL followed by funeral service at 12 pm. Interment to follow at Ridgewood Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations to Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Church or Ascension of our Lord Greek Orthodox Church are greatly appreciated.
