Elaine R. Harrington, age 83, of Wheeling, passed away Saturday, July 25, 2026. She was born in Oak Park, to Edward and Mildred (nee Kroupa) Hlavacek. On April 2, 1960, she married the love of her life, David Harrington.

Devoted wife of 66 years to David. Loving mother of Brian (Susan) Harrington of Lake Villa and the late Daniel. Caring grandmother of Michael of Dunedin, FL, Melissa (Keane Hughes) of Grand Rapids, MI, and Nick of South Pasadena, FL. Doting great grandmother of Ella and Winston Hughes. Fond sister-in-law of the late Terry Harrington, Bill Harrington, and Joan Harrington. Kind aunt, cousin, and dear friend to many.

Visitation will be Saturday, August 1, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at Long Grove Community Church, 1110 Robert Parker Coffin Road, Long Grove, IL 60047. Interment will be in Long Grove Community Cemetery.
