Dolores Jeanette Fife (nee Musich), age 93, of Wheeling, IL (Formerly of Palatine, IL) passed from this earthly life on January 26, 2022. She is the beloved mother of Michael (Catherine), Gregory (Diane), Patricia (Dale), Marybeth (John), Brian (Violet), and Elise, loving grandmother of Bradford (Heather), Mitchell, Scott, Jack, Hannah, and Amelia, proud great-grandmother of Hailey, Jordan, and Mason, and aunt to many nieces and nephews. Dolores is preceded in death by her parents, Anton and Catherine, her brothers Benedict, Ernest, and Bob, and her sisters Phyliis and Clarice "Chris". Dolores was born on December 7, 1928 in Laurium, Michigan. She graduated from Calumet High School and ventured on her own to Chicago, Illinois, where she worked at Montgomery Ward before eventually marrying William Fife and raising a family of six children. She has been a wonderful, supportive mother, always there for her children throughout every stage of their lives. She was a gifted painter and a brilliant writer, and had a razor sharp, dry wit, the master of the one-liner. She had a deep relationship with God, one which continued to grow and evolve throughout her life, and she devoted much of her time in Christian community with others and serving the church in many capacities. She was a quiet, introspective soul who impacted countless lives by her faith and her unselfish, caring spirit. Services will be held at St Raymond de Penafort Church in Mount Prospect on Tuesday, February 22. Visitation will be at 9am in church, followed by a 10:30am Funeral Mass.
