Claire B. Grotefeld, age 62, of Wheeling, passed away Friday, April 18, 2025. She was born in Evanston to Harold and Patricia (Connell) Grotefeld on May 16, 1962. Claire was a 1980 graduate of Wheeling High School, later she attended NIU, achieving her Bachelor's Degree in Accounting. She worked for The Northridge Group in Rosemont for 10 years. She loved working there, especially as a woman owned business. She was a huge Chicago sports fanatic, with the Blackhawks being her favorite. Claire is survived by her brother, Glenn (Charlene) Grotefeld, and sister, Laura Mauter; niece Jenilee (Mike) Carlson, and nephew Ben Mauter. Visitation will be Thursday, April 24, 2025, from 4:00 pm until 8:00 p.m. at Kolssak Funeral Home, 189 S. Milwaukee Avenue (Two Blocks South Of Dundee Road) Wheeling, IL.
