Christopher J. Trunda, passed away peacefully on April 28, 2025, in Glenview, Illinois. Born on April 26, 1950, in Great Lakes, Illinois, to John and Gertrude (Cwik) Trunda. He grew up in Wheeling and finally settled down in Gurnee after moving around from Colorado, Arizona, and New Jersey. Chris had many passions, but his three main ones were fishing, cooking, and his involvement with AA with his thirty plus years of sobriety. His lifelong friendships came from all three of those passions. Chris was preceded in death by both of his parents, and his brother-in-law, Bob Heer. He is survived by his children Zachary and Kevin, along with his siblings: Judy, Toni, Jay, Cathy, Tom and Pat. Along with many nieces and nephews, and Cheryl Trunda.
