It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Chang Bae Kim. He passed away surrounded by loving family on January 8, 2020. He was born on March 15, 1941 in Seoul, Korea. Chang Bae is survived by his loving wife, Soon Yi (nee Lee); son, Daniel; brothers, Kwang Bae (Ei Ja), Kyung Bae (Young Soon), Won Bae (Hyun Sook), Jung Bae (Soo Im); and sisters, Myung Hwa (Soon Chan) and Myung IL (Kwang Sik). He was preceded in death by his parents, Dong Jea and Aun Yun Kim and brother Sung Bae (Ei Ja). Visitation will be held at Kolssak Funeral Home, 189 S. Milwaukee Ave. (2 Blocks South of Dundee Road) Wheeling under the care of Shim Family Funerals on Monday January 13, 2020 from 5-7:30pm with a wake service held at 7:30pm. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday January 14, 2020 at 10:00 am.
