Angelos D. Deveros, age 77 of Chicago, passed away peacefully October 8, 2024, in the company of his cherished family. Loving husband of Maria nee Vitogiannis. Devoted father of Dina (Peter) Flevaris, Jim Deveros and Christina (Kosta) Sarris. Beloved pappou of Tessie, Maria and Niko Flevaris, Evan and Pete Deveros. Cherished brother of Voula (Peter) Velissaropoulos, Nick (Kiki) Deveros, and John Deveros. Dear brother-in-law of Harry (late Katty) Vitogiannes and Savas (Nectaria) Vitogiannis. Loving uncle, cousin, and friend to many.
Angelos was born in Kaltezes, Arcadia, his hometown village which he cherished. He immigrated to the US in 1970 to build his American Dream. In 1971, he married his beloved wife and together they raised their three children. His pride and joy was his family, especially his five grandchildren. For over 50 years, he owned his own HVAC business. When he wasn't working, he was busy making his famous homemade wine, hunting, calling his family and friends around the world to keep in touch or listening to Kazantzidis. He had a compassionate heart and always offered a helping hand to anyone who may need it. Anyone who came to his home always left well fed and with a bag of goodies to take home. He was proud of his Greek heritage and instilled the traditions to his family. He loved to share jokes with his infectious laugh. He will be greatly missed.
