Alexander "Al" Olsansky, age 77, of Libertyville, formerly of Prairie View, IL, entered heaven's gates on February 27, 2024. Al was the beloved husband of the late Lenore Ann (nee Manisco) Olsansky whom he loved and was dedicated to until his last breath. The couple met as teenagers and wed in Pruem, Germany, in 1968 while Al was stationed as a proud soldier in the Army. Al and Lenore would often recount stories of their cherished times in Germany with their cousins, Jim and Joanne Sill. Al was preceded in death by his loving Godmother, Sandy Barnvos. Al adored his daughter, Stephanie (Jimmy Burrows) Arnopolin, and always provided only the best for her. Education was important to Al, and he and Lenore worked hard to provide Stephanie with her college education. Al was always an extremely proud and supportive Poppo to Brett, Drew, and Ali. He rooted for Brett at his hockey games, Drew at his band concerts, and Ali at her dance competitions. His doggies, Patches and Cagney, meant the world to him, and he always treated them with tender loving care. Al was loved by many others including in laws, cousins, and friends. Visitation will be on Saturday, March 2, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church,10 N. Buffalo Grove Road, Buffalo Grove, IL followed by an 11:30 a.m. Life Celebration Mass.
