Obituary

Agnes Elenore Sasse, age 85, passed away peacefully on February 11th. Agnes will be remembered as an avid Bingo player and joyful soul. Agnes was fortunate to have traveled throughout Europe, America and Canada. She was overly generous with both family and friends and loved a nice lunch out. As a long time resident of Wheeling IL, she was sad to give up her home and move to assisted and then memory care in Woodstock. In good spirits, she made the best of this life transition and made many new friends. Though she never had children of her own she was an incredible Aunt and Godmother. She was a loving sister to Alwin Sasse and his wife Carol. Cherished aunt of Mike Kunschke (Sherri), Andrea Lily (John Flentge), Laura Sasse and Monica Uselding.  Adored great aunt to Elisabeth Falkenthal (Arron), Melissa Kunschke, Benjamin Knight (Kaitlin Ripley) Mathew Knight and Amy Kunschke. As well as a loving great, great aunt to Emma and Nathan. She is fondly remembered by friends and cousins in Germany and Canada. Agnes is proceeded in death by her adored sister and brother-in-law Alice and Manfred Kunschke and her parents Mathilda and Artur Sasse. Though we miss her, we take joy in knowing that she is now "home" in the loving arms of our God and family. A family graveside service will be held Thursday, February 20th at 1PM at St. Johns Cemetery, Glenview, IL. In lieu of flowers, donations to Living Water's Lutheran Church, Crystal Lake IL, or Hearthstone Manor Memory Care Unit, Woodstock IL are greatly appreciated.
